With only a few games left, last Thursday night Bobby all but solidified his crowning of champion for 2009 with what was one of the greatest come backs in TNP history! First, however, a death blow was delivered to Giordan when his full house, jacks full of aces, ran into Devin's full house, aces full of kings. Justin B., either due to sympathy for Giordan or because of his queasy stomach, soon followed. I wasn't having sympathy pains or stomach pains, I just got my ass kicked and was out third. Ish followed me and a new comer to TNP, Justin Wheeler, finished 4th. Chris hit quad 4s to make the top 3. Then with our heads up players established, came the biggest come back I've ever seen. To start the heads up Devin had a slight chip lead. His quick ousting of Giordan helped early and often to push the smaller chip stacks around. His run continued until Bobby went all in with only $800 in chips against Devin's seemingly insurmountable stack of over $17,000. But, after doubling up on his first $800 all in, Bobby did the impossible and came back to win.
8. Giordan 1
7. Justin B. 2
6. Jeff 3
5. Ish 4
4. Justin Wheeler 5
3. Chris 7 (Including 1 bonus point for quad 4s)
2. Devin 8
1. Bobby 12 (Including my bounty point from last week and retaining his own bounty point from last week)
Only 2 games left this year. We'll take Christmas Eve off but be back for the triple point, $10 buy in New Year's Eve spectacular. Until next time, may all your cards be live and your pots be monsters!

Double Header!
Another TNP first! Because game 1 went so quickly, a second game ensued and for the first time in TNP history, we have our first double header!
GAME 1
Devin just wasn't feeling it so he played fast and loose and was eliminated first. I followed soon thereafter. Ish was next followed by Chris. The heads up came down to Justin & Bobby with Bobby taking the game and Justin's bounty point.
6. Devin 1
5. Jeff 2
4. Ish 3
3. Chris 4
2. Justin 6
1. Bobby 9 (Including Justin's bounty point)
GAME 2
With so much time left we shuffled up for another round. Giordan arrived in time to take Devin's place. Justin, being put out first, dealt for the duration of the game and did a fine job as far as I'm concerned. Giordan was out next the Ish. Chris exited next and that left me and Bobby. Finally, after a long drought, I received another check mark in the winners column.
6. Justin 1
5. Giordan 2
4. Ish 3
3. Chris 4
2. Bobby 6
1. Jeff 9 (Including Justin's bounty point)
Only 3 games left in 2009 including New Year Eve's triple point spectacular so who knows what surprises next week may hold. Until then may all your cards be live and your pots be monsters!

For the rest of 2009
Only 4 games left in 2009 as Christmas Eve falls on a Thursday. As it looks now, barring anything unforseen, Bobby looks like the odds on favorite to take the victory. We'll have one more triple points night on New Year's Eve with a $10 buy in that night.
